the daily thing

The shrine, another of my frequent forms offers itself up here in a late night play-thing. The bull-dog clip acts as a switch—it makes a lovely snapping sound as you turn it on. A little glowing object to remember something.

Shrines open and close, as do books, or eyes… the light switches on and off, things live in multiple states—I love this bi-stability in objects, and thinking through these two ways of being in form.

This thinking through quick objects sits alongside the slower meditative acts of writing, formulating of ideas, as well as of slower more immersive work.
